Our trip to Utah

Zach broke my mom's house in quick. He had a good time doing it too.

We were so excited to meet Miss Maggie. Amber's new baby. She's beautiful!

Lydea and Maggie. I can't tell you how happy Lydea was to get to see Maggie before she got big. She LOVES babies.

It is tradition for grandma to take us to get our ears peirced when we turn 8 in my family. We weren't able to get it done this summer when we were out so that was one of the first things that we did when we got to UT. Haylee was so exited. I took a video of her getting them peirced and she just flinched a little, but I accidentally erased it...BUMMER!

Haylee and Grandma.
Thanks Grandma, she loves them!
Karl's little sister, Nancy and BJ got married March 7. We were so happy to be able to go out there for it occation.

My sister-in-law Bri keeping Zach from running into the street. He was quite the little busy body that day. Like usual.

Karl's family

I had the privialege of doing my first wedding cake. It was fun. I did have a lot of help, and it is not perfect, but it turned out beautiful with a little extra personality on my part.

Karl, Grandma Shirley, Carson, and Haylee

After it was all said and done we went back to Grandma and Grandpa Chandler's for a little fun.

Carson found the pop gun!

Rebecca is just about as cute as they come!

Grandpa pulled out his pencil collection. The grand kids had a good time looking at all of them.

While we were out there we had the opperituniy to go down to the Drapper temple open house. Since it was not dedicated the kids were able to go inside and walk through and see it all. It was a great experience for them. I only got pictures of the bus ride there.

Zach loved the bus.

It was super cold that day. I wanted to get a picture of the kids out in front of the temple, but all I got was a picture of the temple through the bus window.

AND we got to go sledding just before we came home. We went with my sister Melissa and her kids and we had a blast.

18 in. of fresh snow and sunshine. You don't go far on you first slide down. So we went and found a couple trails already paved for us.

I also had the chance to meet up with some friends from Minot that evening after sledding. It was fun to see Amber and her kids.

And the the drive home.

Keeping Zachary occupied with chocolate. It worked for a little while.
Really he wasn't too bad.

My mom driving...I couldn't have done it without her.
I love her to peices!

Back in KY we went on a day trip down to Berrea before Grandma and Grandpa left.
It's a pretty little town.
THIS IS WHAT I CAME HOME TO...SPRING!
Daffodills in my back yard and trees budding all around. So fun to be sledding one day and get to leave it all behind and for the green.

Who could ask for anything more????

Rebecca's birthday breakfast. St patrick's day is really a fun day for a birthday.

Four years old.

She got her watermellon!

and her sunshine, 70 degrees and not a cloud in sight...

and lots of fun at the park!

Zach is crazy, he loves the zip line!

He can go back and forth on this thing about 3 times before he loses strength.

She ended up with and M&M cake. It looked really cool before it started to fall. I just had a little too much help from Lydea. It was a super yummy cake. I made it from scratch, so much better than the box mixes.

Rebecca's birthday wishes

I am very behind on the blog thing. We went to Ut so I have a ton to put on here, but today is Rebecca's 4th birthday. I will post all about her birthday later when it is all said and done, but I didn't want to forget the sweetness that has led up it.

For week, like any kid, she has been looking forward to her birthday because she will be 4 and then she will be 5. We keep trying to help her understand that it takes a whole year to get to 5 but she's convinced that once she turns 4 she will soon be 5.

For birthdays in our family we seldom have kid parties instead we just do a family activity that the birthday person gets to pick. When I asked Rebecca what she wanted to do for her birthday she simply said that she wanted to go to the park in our neighborhood and have watermellon (watermellon is what she asks for anytime we ask her what she wats to eat. She has been asking for it all winter and has not had any so this will be quite the treat for her today). Karl and I felt kind of bad because we usually do something a little more out of the ordinary, but that's what she wants so we will keep it simple. We are going to take her to a bigger park on the other side of Lexington. Her other request that came with the park was not so simple to comply to. She said that she wanted it sunny so she could have fun playing outside and wear a sun dress. I told her that sometimes we just don't get the things we want. It's been so gray here lately. When I checked the weather yesterday afteroon the weather for today had changed from chance of rain to a fully sunny day beyween 65 and 70 degrees. So fun for her! I hope she has a good day.

Last is her cake. She wants something different evertime I ask, M&M cake, Polly Pocket cake, Carrot cake, watermellon cake, I'm still not sure what she'll end up with. We'll see....
